Heather Mullen

Vice President of Health Plan Operations, Beacon Health

Heather Mullen, CHIE, is the vice president of Health Plan Operations for Beacon Health.

Heather has the awesome privilege of leading operations for all Beacon Health lines of business while also providing guidance and strategic support to other key functional areas of Beacon Health.

She is responsible for third party administration duties of the Beacon Health provider network, network credentialing, claims payment, customer service and assuring the transfer of data to sales, marketing, finance, IT, provider relations and care management.

Her greatest passion is to work with teams across all touchpoints of healthcare partnering to improve health outcomes, quality, and experience for our patients and plan members. Being a part of a high performing collaborative team is what motivates her every day.

Heather is involved in the community as vice president Alumni Board of Directors for St. Joseph College of Maine. She is also a Certified Health Insurance Executive (AHIP) and Sigma Class Member from the Maine Development Foundation.

Prior to joining Beacon Health, Heather was chief operating officer of health plans at Martin’s Point Health Care and vice president of delivery system operations at Martin’s Point.
